Labelling Earth Connections
To what extent are you supposed to label earth connections? I usually only put safety electrical connection labels on the points where the earthing is bonded, i.e. on pipes, metal work, etc. At places like joints between tape and cable and at test points for instance I don't put labels. tips on swa connections
just wondering are we trying the impossible.installing 2x300mm swa to a eaton 800amp panelboard,because of circumstances the swa enter the building underground in a 1m depth trench,,the dbs are approx 1m above ffl.A 75mm hole will be drilled into the bottom extension box & suitable gland fitted... -

Neff Induction Hob Mains Supply Cable???
Hi, I recently bought an ex display Neff Induction Hob. Unfortunately the power cable to it has been cut off and needs replacing. Is it possible to fix this? Where can I get a new cable from? Will I need a wiring diagram? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, JLO- JLO

Dodgy spotlight connections
Hello, The spotlights in my bathroom both have dodgy connections. They go off and I have to jiggle the bulbs to get them to come on. So the spotlight fittings are obviously not great. The reflectors and lenses are fine, but it's just the crappy plasticy sockets that don't make good connection...- clumsysparky

board getting warm
Hi just installed new Mem3 TPN board for storage heating. Suprised to find board warming although clamp test shows only 80ish amps per phase on the brown and the grey. The black is unbalanced drawing only about 35ish is this the reason? Would welcome any advice please. Thanks- rayemery

Connections to a pump motor.
I have a pump that has basically been ripped of a folding machine, no cable, instructions, diagrams left for me. What would the two black wires normally be used for. The motor is 3 phase, and the brass links are set for star so was thinking would they be the nuetral? Any help and suggestions welcome -
Making permanent connections
If you came across the situation where you had to add a piece of cable because the cable you were dealing with was not long enough what would you use? I have two options at the moment either dig the whole drive up and replace the entire cable lengths to some lights at the entrance to a property... -

Neutral Inter Connections
I've been investigating a problem today with an RCD that keeps tripping. I have discovered that on one of the ring circuits that is RCD protected there is a neutral connection to the non rcd side of things but for the life of me I cannot track down where it occurs. Any suggestions from anyone...- dmh
