Researchers are one step closer to developing a new generation of low-cost, high-efficiency solar cells. The structure is one of the world’s first examples of a tri-layer metasurface absorber using a carbon interlayer.
The system, developed by Chenglong Wang a PhD student in Professor Martin...

Semi-transparent perovskite solar cells have been created that demonstrate high-power conversion efficiency and transmit visible light while blocking infrared light, making them great candidates for solar windows.
Typical solar cells today are made of crystalline silicon, but it is difficult to...
Who would do this? Cables for upstairs circuits in trunking going up corner of room then central heating flow and return pipes on top of trunking, then whole lot boxed in. Good idea? Does it matter?
This has been rumbling on for several months. DECC finally announced a consultation yesterday which can be found here:

Biomass will also take a hit. The strategic thinking behind this is...

Havn't come across this before - an add-on thermal cut out ( but it's floating in the air and not against the cylinder or immerser)?.
Got a thermal store to wire up, never done one before ! Any one on here got a clue? It's an old existing thermal store not like the new gledhill setups. There's two pumps, one i gather is the circulator from the boiler and the other pump is for the heating to draw from the cylinder, No valves...
