Baywa takeover Metgen. Segen takeover Zenex.
We've bought from all four of these suppliers in the past few months. Metgen could operate as Baywa's warehouse in the south but it's a bit too far south to be perfectly located. I guess Segen want to get into a bit of 'field sales' to go alongside their excellent online setup. I wonder if the Zenex brand will survive. It doesn't really make sense to operate warehouses in Bolton and Brighouse.
Overall, I'm not sure if this is a good development. I guess the larger entities might be able to buy in greater quantities which might drive down costs. But, there will be less choice for installers.
Will there be further consolidation in the next few months...
