Hi all, just a quick one, Iv not seen the job just been asked and pretty sure Iv explained to the guy ok, just wanna check what u think, basically this guy has took a 2 gang light switch off, 1 side of it is 2 way and other side of switch is 1 way, but he does not have a 3 core at the switch, now I'm assuming there is a jb in floor somewhere and for the strappers they have used a twin and a core out of other twin, then just linked a feed across the switches n obv other core out of twin as a switch wire for one way light? Sorry Iv dragged on abit

sounds like the dreaded borrowed neutral, wher the L is from downstairs and the N from upstairs

How do u mean? I understand borrowed neutral but surely they wud have picked N up from downstairs jb, Like I say I not looked at job and in fitting,

Surely the N should not be a prob to get switch back on seeing as its suppose to be straight swap, yes it's not really correct and wiring needs altering but the borrowed N will only really be picked up on a board change due to the 2 rcd's
