3 gang 2 way swicth wiring

Hi all trying to get my head around hall and landing switches, basically a 2 gang 2 way down stairs, a 3 gang 2 way on the middle floor and a 2 gang 2 way on my loft conversion landing

Does any one know whether this should be on the a particular floors circuit or is this just judgement based from the overall load on each floor?

Usually the lighting circuit that powers the upstairs light is the upstairs lighting circuit, etc .

The main switch for this is the upstairs switch and switches on other floors that also control the upstairs light are (sort of) slaves to the upstairs switch.

There’s other ways too, but that’s usually how it’s done. Study how UK lighting circuits are wired and you’ll appreciate the logic of this.

Also worth noting that there may be several circuits n the same switch enclosure.
I.e ground floor switch may have mid floor lighting circuit for landing light and a hall light off ground lights circuit.
Use caution when checking power is off at each switch.
Just because one switch is dead, doesn’t mean they all are.

Just try to think of them as individual switches. You’ll have so many cables per switch. Could be different circuits as suggested.
Be careful you don’t link live or neutrals from one circuit to another
