I normally use texecom 8 zone
1 d.c
2 hall
3 f. Reception
4 lounge
5 kitchen

Bell box, dummy, keypad

The above is my prefered default domestic system
But a client got an accenta honeywell a bell box that needs guess work
So i did the following
1 dc
2 hall
3lounge
4 kitchen
5 dc
6
7
8

Bellbox, dummy, keyypad(not lcd)

I walk tested it
Tested alarm, siren strobe
Set entry exit times
Bell ring times
Changed codes
But cant set ..close door and make alarm go off

I did not physically link out the unused zones
Aster that it took 5 mins to configure it all again

are you saying its fixed now, and you forgot to link out the unused zones at first, and that is why it wouldn't set?
 
have you got a zone that's pre-programmed as PA?
 
I did not physically link out unused zones and could not make them work, when walk rested they were lit up. I was oblivious and ccould not arm/set alarm as 678 were lit up.

Linking them out fixed problem
 
So it's fixed now??? The OP's head may be cabbaged but mine is now...
