Currently a factory unit I am working on has 12 x 250w SON fittings exterior lights controlled via a digitel timer, photocell and contactor.
But......now they do not wont all the lighting on all through the night(only at home time and in the morning) and have asked for alternate ways of switching the lighting. They have also mentioned that sometimes they have deliveries, contractors calling in the night and so if the lights are off then a system in place so as the lighting can be switched on for a selected amount of time.
Any ideas would be very helpful.
Many thanks.

well you can ditch the photocell as you wont need it.
keep the timeclock connected and add a remote over-ride switch near to the deliveries door which can be wired directly from the contactor.

Keep the photo cell because the timer will be set to come on at say 4:30 in the afternoon and go off at 7:00pm when everybody has left for the day. So you will not have to adjust the time clock in the summer when it is light in the evenings. A time lag switch would work if it is set to give 15 minutes longer than a delivery would usually take.
