Wondering if anyone could help or offer advice on fitting a timer in a pub cellar. It is for operation of the cooling system. So it isn't left on overnight I require a suitable timer so it can be set for certain intervals. Does anyone know of a suitable timer or could an immersion timer be used for example?
cheers for taking time to read and any advice would be greatly received.

Impossible to answer without lots more info. Do they require different on/off times on different days? What is the load in Amps, or kilowatts or KVA? Do they require granular adjustment by the minute or by 15-30 min intervals for example. Do they need visual indication of on/off status? Do they need battery reserve to hold settings in case of power failure. Would they prefer digital or analogue. Daylight saving compensation? How's it going to mount, panel mount, DIN mount samite mount. The permutations are nearly infinite. Just get all the requirements and specify a decent make that does the job.

Thats great. I haven't the exact setup yet was just asked over the phone. Obviously would work out what was needed when I see it but just wondered if anyone knew of something suitable if they had done something similar. Cheers

Provide a shutdown check list for your duty manager.

Loads of chiller smart systems out there designed to do exactly what you want. Use them and you will get better efficiency during peak rate times as well as at night
