Yes thats exactly what he said, and i knew it would cost a few quid but that was too much for me! but he said he'd use offcuts to keep the price down
I went there on a suggestion by sis in law who uses him, although I know he has made other non riding objects for people I know and at a good price.
It would have been nice to get a toolbag which does exactly what you want from it as I've never had one which really organises things properly and keeps the tools separate from each other , you always end up ramming several into the pockets, the only ones I've seen are the hardcases with layered panels like the ck ones , but these are also expensive.

I use 2 x fatmax one for everyday use and one for heavier items not everyday. Handles make good rest for cutting things but bottoms of side pockets rip after about 2 years so be careful what you store in the sides.

Stanley do useful range boxes in 2 removable sections with clear lid. Top section has compartments and useful for connectors, wago's etc. I use 2 of these (one for CU work) and one general.

In total 2 fatmax and 2 Stanley boxes covers most events. Drills large tools kept in cases.

I agree with the comment spend the money on good tools rather than storage.

Tool belt just can't get on with good trousers with many pockets for me.

Worth thinking about weight of holdals etc as you've got to actually carry them.

All the best.

The earlier post with electricians dancing round their bags. Anyone leaving their tools unattended is asking for trouble. Plumbers about!!
