I've just got the Alphatek Tek837 clamp meter as it seemed a good price compared to others with the same features, does anyone have any experience with this meter, since i ordered it i've learnt it's been sold under different brand names, Metrel tek837, Alphatek tek837, Di log DL6404 and probably more i don't of.

I gave it a quick run through to check if it was working ok when it arrived, the one thing that jumped out was it gave an higher AC voltage reading every time of around 1.8 to 2V higher on on the AC range when testing mains outlet compared to my fluke 1652 and my multimeter all connected at the same time, the 1652 and multimeter gave nearly the same reading were as the new clamp meter gave a different reading everytime, i re tested around half a dozen times. When my 1652 & dmm read 238V the clamp meter would be 239.8V to 240V for example.

My real concern is in 12 months when i send it for calibration will it pass when the AC voltage is already out by 1.8 to 2Volts.

Thanks for looking

that small a difference is within tolerance. don't worry about it.it's < 1%.
