One of my neighbours asked me to price a supply out to a sauna they are putting in their garden. Wants it done by the 16th when its getting delivered, and im on holiday for a week... So this is my job for the 15th when I come back. Not had time to get BBB out and do the calcs,
4 - 5 Person Outdoor Traditional Sauna With 8kW Stove - https://www.uk-saunas.co.uk/traditional-saunas/4-5-person-outdoor-traditional-sauna-with-8kw-stove-eao-106.html

This is what they are getting.

Link says its 8kW, but tech specs state its 9kW... so no bigger than a shower. So i'm looking at a 40A load..... SWA cable, clipped direct from DB through utility room to outside. Short length buried under pathway, then clipped along garden wall to sauna position, approx. 20 m from DB to IP isolator at sauna.

Top of my head, 6mm...… Seems a little small.

Anyone know if I need to take diversity into account?

Cheers. That's why I thought 6mm was too small.
If I go with 10.0, that give scope for additional garden power or lighting from the same supply.

I cannot think of a bigger attraction to house burglars, than seeing the whole family, sat naked in a steamy shed,in the garden....in their duds.

It's why the scandinavians are so big on cheap furniture......when they get back in the house.....and it's all been chorred;)

With the current political uncertainties...i have had to let some of my staff go....please let me know,if you are seeking a good pastry chef, somelier and Raki faith healer....;)

Probably want an isolator you can terminate your swa in and appropriate cable from that to whatever programmer it comes with and then appropriate cable from that into sauna itself, id sugest heat flex as although it doesnt get hot hot where the cables go in usually, i have come accross crispy cables in them more than once
