Apprenticeship enquiry help!!!

I'm currently working at an electrical whole salers and am doing very well and am progressing to become and account manager, I am going to go evening college and do a level 2 diploma in electrical installation to further educate myself . I was wondering what would happen when I want to do level 3 I have a good job and would like to continue however I would like to be a qualified electrician. I would work every hour under the sun to get the results I want .would I have to give up on or the other or would I be able to also do an apprenticeship whilst only working on weekends as I already have a full time job. Just wondering if anyone has any advise or could shed some light ?

If you get your Electrician qualifications, and you like the job you are doing already, I see no reason why you should give up your job, after nothing better than having someone in the know behind the counter, I can see a Wholesaler chain CEO would jump at the chance of having an accounts Manager who is also a qualified Electrician, might take you some time, but go for it Jake, and good luck.

Thank you that's what I would love to do I'm just trying to find a way to do so. I'm sure I have to become a full time student or take on a full time apprenticeship I would love to do that but I can't see how I can juggle both but would love to be able to work full time and study and get the qualifications under my belt so just exploring what avenues I can take or if it is even possible to do my apprenticeship working for someone on weekends while maintaing my job if anyone has any ideas would be amazing

I don't know which Wholesaler chain you are employed by Jake, but, and a big but, you could approach your management team, and ask if they would/could sponsor you, nothing ventured nothing gained, explain what your intentions are, you never know Jake, they could say no chance, but they might say yes, worth a try in my book, hope it works out for you.

See if there are any distant learning/online courses you can do that have a official exam that you sit at a centre at the end of it. There are some flying around for the 18th that you can do at your own pace with only a few visits to college. I did took a 2D autocad course that way a few years back and the tutor's are so helpful cos they want you to pass.
