Hi first post so take it east on me :-) I replaced 4 500w din rail dimmers with astro 1000w dimmers because they loads were to close to the limits of the 500w dimmers since I've put them in the dimmers turn themselves on at random periods, any ideas ? The system is wired in twin brown out to the switches from the board and twin and earth from the board to the lights switches are mk push to make . Any ideas would be great thanks

Hi and welcome!

Two things occur to me: 1) If they are 4 x new dimmers in one batch then it's not beyond possibility they could be faulty under warranty, but far more likely is 2) you've a switching fault somewhere. You could prove this fairly easily by changing the PTM switched for ordinary plate switches and see if the fault continues.

Cheers for the reply lad turns out it looks like faulty dimmers put in an old one I had from another job and it's worked perfect getting them replaced next week very unusual problem to say the least

Glad to help mate.
