39 flats all with fictional certificates ‘purchased’ for £250 each. Multiple problems on all flats and then to top it off I finally got the plant room door open to find this

iv'e seen worse with buildings that have been added to over the years by lots of lazy contractors.
once one person makes it look a mess, every other guy follows through with the attitude that it is not important, they don't care.

but for a new install that is appalling.

My point is about the lack of fire protection and compartments. The floor boards of the flat above are completely visible. And the fire detection system was signed off with covers forgotten !! I spoke to the inspector that signed building off and he asked me where plant room is on plans as he never went to site

The biggest issue with that is the lack of fire protection and fire compartments. Yes the wiring is rough but if a fire started it will be out of control very quickly.
Exactly my point. The electrical issues I’m slowly identifying and rectifying, untidiness is not even on my radar yet. It’s the fact that the building surveyors have deemed it safe that troubles me

bricks and mortar is king. sod all this build it out of firewood and glue plasterboard over like a sticking plaster covering a festering wound. building regs. My Arse . more like a recipe for disaster.

I trust you have raised your concerns in writing to the person(s) responsible for electrical safety and fire safety in the building ? Oh yes, and keeping a copy so you can show that it was known about should another Grenfell happen.
Also, if there's any evidence that the contractors were members of any scheme, then report them to the scheme(s).

Yes done that. Have Warwickshire fire safety officer and HSE on site tomorrow. And NICEIC are particularly interested
