Bathroom mirror light (can I cut plug and hardwire?)

Hi all,
I’ve taken down old mirror light from bathroom and replacing with new, problem is new one has plug on it!! Can I cut plug and just wire up??
Original cable is a 1.5 going to fused spur (with 3amp fuse inside) then to lighting circuit on a rcbo board
New mirror is

As long as it's just a plug and not a miniature PSU.

Not many sockets fitted in bathrooms in the UK

I dont see any issues as long as its terminated proplerly, ie a Junction box

A cottage we rented over the weekend in Arnside (Lakes) had a plug by the door inzide the bathroom. Looked older than me, being sad I almost took a picture to post on here.

Of course we all know sockets are permitted in a bathroom…. But it’s got to be a huge bathroom, and well away from the bath or shower.

It wasn't the worst I seen over the weekend. Took the kids to Cumbria zoo whilst over there, and the toilets by the giraffes just had twin clipped to the tile groute to a speaker. And the hand dryer had about about 8 inch of twin with 3 inch of trunking on it just floating in mid air to a fused spur.
