BG wiring accessories and Luceco led products

Led retrofit tubes are good apart from the 6ft as they changed the driver/psu which caused them to intermittently flicker. Installed over 500 (mainly 5ft) with no problems but all 224 6ft flickered and had to be returned.

Not the most expensive 'premium' brands but I actually quite like BG.. seem a steady make and have not had issues. There CU's are reasonably priced too.
What many consider good makes such as MK have i found over the last year or two gone down hill in terms of quality.
Have had to return quite a bit of MK kit due to issues or jammed screws in the terminals etc... not returned a single BG item,
Another affordable brand that i find to be well made is the schneider stuff.

Not tried BG CU's

I tried to install a customer supplied 3G switch yesterday - only 2 screws, out of 9 would move ........... very, very poor IMHO

Get what you pay for, personally I dislike them. If it’s a job where customer plans to stay suggest buy something better.

Absolutely not - well proven technology and in a 47mm back box plenty of space too

I put them on their own MCB Tel, years ago everyone seemed to fit a surface mounted light switch next to the transformer.

I’ve installed a lot of BG accessories, the square edge and round edge Nexus stuff. Only issue I’ve had over the years is a couple of dodgey fan switches. As above said, readily available and good quality for the price. Not keen on the consumer units, can’t beat Hager for me.

Installed a lot of Luceco floodlights with and without PIR’s and not had any problems with them.

No problems with BG or Luceco LED's, in fact I mostly fit white BG accessories and never had a faulty part. I also like the CU's they are solidly built.

I've had that issue too along with defective RCDs, and easily-snapped earth/neutral bar terminal screws. It's either Hager, Crabtree or Wylex for me.

I've never had any issues with BG accessories, but have had numerous issues with their boards which is why I no longer fit them. I prefer Hager accessories as I think they're better quality and better value than BG.
