3 sold now! You should take commission Dusty.

They look like shears. Are they? Great for tails if so.

I have used them and they cut through thick singles like butter , just very awkward to use in one hand unless you have 6 inch fingers...
I probably should have got the smaller 200mm version instead.
but either way for 16 quid will keep them as manglers and and for chomping meter tails etc

Now I know where to come for pedicure advice.

you file your nails with an angle grinder as well?

Tempted...

But I already have a "Klein Insulated High Leverage Cable Cutter" that is of comparable length (at 245mm) and is really handy for chomping through copper stuff. But not to be used on SWA or ACSR (aluminium conductor steel-reinforced, which I am very unlikely ever to meet).

They claim it will cut 2/0 AWG (67mm^2) soft drawn copper, but I suspect you need gorilla hands to do that, I found 35mm really is a two-handed job, but I am not exactly Mr Universe.

One of the ratchet or hydraulic cutters that could do SWA to ~20mm diamter would be handy for me, but even that is a bit difficult to justify over the hacksaw for the few occasions I need it.
