I hope someone can assist with this matter please.
new extension on a bungalow and under floor heating has been installed in all rooms. new boiler and programmer which will feed the manifold for the new underfloor heating and 4 towel rails for the bathrooms. I have 2 questions.
1) Does the programmer need a fuse spur of its own? Or does the feed come from the boiler wiring
2) What cable should I be using from the programmer to the boiler so they talk to each other and how many cores should this be to cover everything? (sorry that is 3 questions)!

1 supply to boiler that then feeds the manifolds and stats etc for the boiler system
I always run a minimum of 3 cores and earth to the manifolds Perm L switched L and neutral
Some room stats are wireless to talk to the manifold to turn on individual zone some are wired, even if battery powered i still run in a 3 core and earth although you only need a 2 core and earth
 
I always run multiple 5 core or 4 core .75mm flex.

I always run a fused switch at the boiler or if the wiring centre and boiler are not at same location a fused switch and double pole isolator in series so all the system can be isolated at either point.

Thank you for your response. The room stats are 3 core wired back to a wiring box no issues with that more,the wiring from the programmer to the boiler I get stuck with. As this system is not the most conventional Ie. no central room stat etc, as all the rooms have their own stat (zone) would this be a an S or a Y system? If so how many cores are required for either, and what core goes to which

All the CH wiring should be controlled from the same isolator, for obvious reasons.

Your second question, will depend on the number of ’wires’ required.

Hi - while not an UFH specialist, I take it you are using 2 port valves to switch the zones, which would make it an S plan + . And each 2 port valve has 4 conductors plus an E.

I believe that is the case. it is an emmetti manifold with a wilo pump. this was put in by and UFH contractor but i volunteered to do all the wiring! In the wiring centre diagram it ask for a 3 core+e from each stat, that fine no worries on that score but getting t to talk to the boiler etc is proving tricky. I think the S-plan could work as long as the manifold wiring centre talks to the wiring centre for the boiler! That's my problem.

Not an ufh expert ,but would you use the room stats to open the valve for each respective room,then connect the voltage free contacts of each valve in parallel and connect these inside the boiler to the two control terminals which are normally linked.So any valve opening will fire the boiler?S.
