carried out eicr for landlord
no main bonding to gas and water mains
c2 coded
told them we need to run 10mm from main board to each area

the gas is pretty much non accessible , is there anything within the regs or guidance notes that states what to do in tyhe case i.e bond at different point etc ?

thought so guys , thanks same house there is a new board fitted around 2-3 years ago going by labeling , circuits labelled ring 1 ,2, kitchen ring
no ring continuity on these circuits , pretty strange to have 3 rings given these readings any advice on what to do from here
i plan on checking every socket for connections ,r1+r2 tests, but failing that im thinking they may not be done on rings

2 cables in each MCB? installed by monkeys? thorough investigation requierd.

new board installed 2 - 3 years ago and no bonding to water or gas .... say's it all

got one better , main switch is rcd (non compliant) and had a 2.5 cable doubled up with the main tails , i changed it and gave it its own breaker it tripped rcd , who ever done bored change thought this was a good way to bypass rcd to stop the tripping

doesnt i just make you bang your head against wall , here one security company 's electric gates in sister in laws started tripping RCD so i located the fault to a NE insulation fault the gate guys came out and moved it to the unprotected side of the dist board makes my blood boil

I had something simlar to this only that customer didn't want any floor boards lifting so bonded to gas pipe in garage loft space feeding boiler in kitchen only accessable place near to cu. Used this job for assesment guy from elecsa said ok but what if gas pipe was removed at later date if house layout changed so ended up routing cable through garage loft into bedroom up through main loft down side of house in conduit and bonded in gas meter cupboard
