I have had the PMF 180 for about 18 months. its had laods of use and would not be without it.

Hi, I have been using one of these for 10 months and was wondering if anyone has had any luck with getting the blades re sharpened. The blades cost a small fortune!

great tool, paid £60 off of amazon for mine, got me out of some situations where no other tool would of done the job,as for the blades shop around they dont have to be bosch ones as some other pony makes do fit these.

the multi tools are a cracking piece of kit and as already said they get into the places where most others would not and really get you out of some sticky situations. 10/10 for using them

Apparently that link to screwfix wont work, something to do with advertising maybe, but its the Dremel 8200 10.8v li-ion cordless £99.99.

Think I'm gonna have to buy one.... Got a job in mind in my rental property where the plumbers cut some pipes where they go through skirting

the blue bosh 250 ce is a bit more heavy duty than the green one, but both are excellent. highly reccomend. even useful for cutting out slots in new CU on installs. will save u alot of messing around on jobs in sticky situations.

just ordered one!!! looks the business!! even for choping floor boards out to lift up...! i hate my circ saw!!!

YUP.... with the saw im always worried about

A) ripping half my hand off
B) ripping half my leg off
C) cutting a water/gas pipe!

with regards to an earlier post about the blades i just use a junior hacksaw to cut grooves (make teeth) I have a 10.8 PURE multi tool and its great, but on one battery charge last only minutes.

fantastic for quick cutting plaster board.
A tool you shouldn't be without!

Anbody used on ceramic tiles? I ve got a job to make single sockets into doubles on tiled wall

Got the 'green' PMF180 and wouldn't be without it. The new Blue one (GOP 250) is rated at 250 watts while the green one is only 180 w , both use the same blades. Have heard that the 10.8v Bosch is pants on batt life.
Ive got the 'grinder' blade as well and thats very good for removing grout so you can 'pop' out tiles. Don't think that it would work on porcelin tiles though might cut standard ceramics or at least get you through the glaze.

Cheers,
Lofty

I have the battery one and have no problem with the life in general, maybe 7 batteries and 3 chargers helps!

I find if you are gentle when using it the blades last a long time, a bit like a saw let the tool do the work, dont force it!

Check out shark blades for replacements. I got some and they are real good quality for the price 18 odd quid for three blades.

I've had the corded and cordless Bosch, and found them both to be good. The blue vibrates less, and feels a little more solid. the downside is that it is cordless, and the batteries run out frequently - to keep up, you'd need 4 batteries fully charged. However, there are few times when I need it for more than 3 or 4 cuts in one go, so it does keep up with this intermittent use.
When it finally dies, I'll be buying a Fein corded tool to replace it. A lot more expensive at £200, but it has quality all over it. they also do a cordless now, but I dont want to be limited by batteries again.
Alan.

I own the corded Fein and it brilliant. Used to own a Bosch 10.8 but got sick of the battery life if cutting anything harder than plasterboard.

Was talking to my old man about buying one of these and he just went "oh, I have one, never use it, its yours"...pretty handy really, its a Rotozip, but its about 6-7 years old and comes with about 400 parts just to make it work! screw this on here, then tie that round here, put this gromit up its arse, spin around on your head and sing the national anthem and away you go. Despite the rather arduous approcach to get it working, i belive Rotozip to be quite a respectable brand of these tools?

I have the green one, and never even considered using to get the cutouts out in CU's, still struggle with a stanley.

Cheers..........Howard
