Hi everyone,

Quick background, I'm looking to further my career and start a hnc in either electrical engineering or building services engineering.

I'm currently an approved electrician with the jib and feel that a hnc is the next logical step.
In terms of job prospects, salary and further progression, which do you think is more worthwhile?
I'd rather do distance learning as i would like to continue to work on the tools full time.
I've noticed that BSE isn't available anywhere via distance learning so EE at teesside is looking more and more appealing.
Any benefits/drawbacks off both would be a great help.

I've chucked in a poll because I can

Thanks for your time!

wasn't BSE Mad Cow Disease?

EE all the way. If you want to chase the money get HNC minimum then find companies that need/will train SAPs. HV is best for the big bucks, if you can get HV DNO recognised and are good at your job good with a few years experience £100K+ should be your realistic target as a contractor.
