Hello guys

I think with an ever expanding EV market getting more in depth knowledge would defiantly be beneficial, I would like to really get into the side arm of our industry.
I am based in north London so would anyone be able to advise:
what they found with the course was it useful?
Can it put you at an advantage as a company by getting registered as an installer?
Finally any good centers near north London or Hertfordshire?

I bought the book from the iet a few years ago, I don't think the course existed then, but it gives you all the info you need. I think it cost 60 or 70 quid. I've installed a few for volvo and hyundai dealerships but there doesn't seem to be much money in it.

Some companies who sell the chargers offer them fitted for next to nothing, so unless you want to sub yourself to these places for nearly minimum wage I wouldn't bother unless you have a job lined up for it already.

Maybe I'm wrong or out if date with it now though....

Attended the NICIEC course on Friday very interesting. Did not realise "Any installation of an EV charging equipment less than 100A will require notification to the ENA" (Energy Networks Association) and sent within one calendar month of installation and the ENA will forward to the appropriate DNO. Yes we all need to work out where the money is for us general installers or if it's all wrapped up with the manufacturers. Plus need a new test meter to prove all ok with charger. Is there anyone here installing these and can suggest tester only one I have seen is the seaward EV100 thanks.
