Just had one this morning..... Very nice part of North London. I'm outside stripping out / re installing terrible installed security lights etc .Job is priced .Next door pops around and asks if its possible to not make any noise between 12-2 as he needs to be online making a "presentation " To some company etc ..

Answer goes like this .."My rate per hour is xx etc . So are you happy to pay that rate in order for me to stop and then resume later , which adds to my day " ? His little face nearly burst into tears !!!!!!!!!! This is a wealthy area , he has a very nice classic TVR and a new Tesla etc . His brain fell apart trying to work out what to say . And of course....it was payment up front .No chance in hell am I going to trust someone who might just expects people to stop their work just to suit them ! These "work at home snowflakes" are very very "precious" when it comes to their world !

So did he pay up for you to stop work?
Very Much yes... I can be flexible if the person is polite . But when its presented in a very "My work is more important than yours for the sake of mankind" .I learned years ago to go straight in with a "cost to stop ".It sorts the boys from the men !! And I will never accept after as You just know they will think they dont have to pay . All this "working from home rubbish" is rubbish. Homes are for living in , not working from . Go to work !

Get yourself one of these!
