Just pushed test button on rcd and didnt trip , and ramp tested it and >50.....

Im nearly certain i pushed this before and it worked, would a recent powercut of caused this???
 
very unlikely. sounds like you've got one of E54s ultra reliable RCDs. NOT.

I find that giving them a good ****ting with a 2pund hammer often has this effect.
 
you can't treat a sensitive piece of equipment like you treat tidyboiler. it's not cricket, old boy.

so what do you think your next actions should be then I=P/U?
 
take one out of somewhere and put my broken one in the place i take my new working one
 
or you get help me fix it , or could phone landlord or cold go to my garage up street and see if i have one
 
so if the RCD fails to work first time on the manual test button you condemn it dont you...
