Ive got a client who wants to swap her existing down lights with LED downlights but when i showed her the price of them she started to change her mind...

So i was wondering if i could buy the cheaper gu10 halogen dl and just change the bulbs?

Could i do this off the mains or would they have to have a transformer?

Cheers

Does she know your obviously not an electrician?

If you have a home bargains near you they have 5watt GU10's for £4.50 each. They are plenty bright (about 370 lumens off top of head). Just done my kitchen with them.
