Look at post #2
good suggestion, thanks.glad there's someone with a constructive suggestion
yes and yesAre you actually part P registered?
Do you realise that changing consumer units and altering kitchen wiring is notifiable?
yes and yes
^^^ said on that post 'I sometimes wish I was a Polish electrician with no knowledge of the Regs, doing cash in hand work'
or maybe just an electrician with no knowledge of the Regs?
yes and yes
That was suggested in the very first reply.
Are you not paying attention or deliberately winding us up?
Bet anyone thinking of posting any type of electrical question has a sudden change of mind after reading this thread..... Who cares if he's in a scam - everyone does nothing but whinge about them anyway - show me a prosecution before anyone talks legality also, who cares if he's 30yrs or 30 days not directly affecting anyone on here is it, if people think its a stupid question for a spark to ask then don't answer as your knowledge far outweighs his.
The industry is in a difficult situation as it is without matters being made worse by people advertising on their websites that they are an NICEIC DI and/or AP and then stating openly on this forum that they are not. The NICEIC are hot about pursuing imposters. They have prosecuted people in the past, it's been well advertised. And as you ask, Google 'NICEIC and prosecution' - there's a page of reports on the subject
That was suggested in the very first reply.

Can I ask how the "link" arose between the OP and this website?
Was just going to say that lol.
Like I mentioned earlier, I think this dude must of blocked my posts
He did reply to that on another thread mate, it's not his siteI have asked if its anything to do with him, but as of yet no answer.
You've "been an electrician for 30 odd years" and still had to ask about using 1mm flex on a kitchen ring final ??
As for your other thread about the sockets on the skirting .... lets not even go there !!
Now we have this third thread to entertain us & at the same time boggle our minds !! ... Well done - you've scored a hat trick !!
It's not just the 30 years that are "odd" .. it's also the experienced "spark" who has to ask questions that a second year apprentice knows the answer to !!
(NOT a "smug comment" ..... just expressing my view)
what's wrong with the sockets on the skirting board question?do u have any answers cos it doesn't appear so
I never said I was a NICEIC contractor. I've been an electrician for 30 odd years but not so much domestic./QUOTE]
So why the **** does your website say you are an NICEIC DI and AP? I presume you are neither Part P or Trust Mark either?!!
I've forwarded a copy of your website to the NICEIC. They have a section on their website for imposters...
You REALLY are an idiot and I couldn't be happier that u've sent a copy of "my website" to NICEIC, especially as this website has absolutely nothing to do with me and they'll probably note you down as a jobsworth busybody to be ignored in future-Well done!!
Anything is possible. If I'd asked the question :is it possible to have only 1 RCD in a CU,
No, because you're supposed to know the answer already. That's your job.would that have made people happier?
You can't label all of them. That doesn't count. And before you start spitting venom, I've consulted my OSG and in some circumstances it is. I could have a labelled socket,
It has to be steel, you know.fed through Earthed metal conduit and lights also wired in conduit
No point then.(as long as they're not in a bathroom) without them being on an RCD,
Why are you so keen on a split load?thus providing me with a split load.
No.Challengers?

Do taxi-drivers have a forum where people ask "How do you start the car and then what"?
You can't label all of them. That doesn't count.
It has to be steel, you know.
RCBOs would be easier. You could use MICC.
No point then.
Why are you so keen on a split load?
No.
You'd think that after your first thread got closed down after getting out of hand you might keep your head down till the dust settled.
Keep digging that hole fella.
right your taking the **** now so get on with it..without my help

I'll tell you what E4u , if you come clean now about who you are and what your real electrical experience is , we'll lay off and try and help.
Genuine offer cos no-one is buying your story TBH ??
what are you, the forum gestapo?
Right off to bed ...
electrician4u
see you next Tuesday
electrician4u, contrary to what you believe, the majority of us on here actually like helping people with genuine problems. The trouble is, this forum is a bit like the workplace... it's all about how you come across to people, and how you phrase your questions. Unlike the workplace, we don't know you, can't see you, and know nothing about you, so it's harder to form an opinion and that makes what one says all the more important.
If someone comes out with a sarky comment when you post something (even if it's meant in jest), then by biting back and insulting everyone you just end up digging a hole. There is no doubt that we can be an unforgiving lot, but when someone holds their hands up and sees what they wrote the way the rest of us see it, then you will find that there is a wealth of knowledge here and many professionals willing to help.
I'm afraid that you have really upset a lot of good electricians on here, and although I'm sure you don't give a damn, it makes this forum a poorer place.

How do you block a poster ? I missed that one !
I can tell there's a hardcore of you out there who spend alot of time on this forum but I gotta say I think you've lost your tolerance of people who don't know the regs inside out. when I joined this forum 3 years ago you could ask a question without getting attacked by all sides.ok, I admit I asked the question wrongly. I should've asked: in a limited space what are my options as I couldn't find any split boards which would fit in the space available. If anyone's upset, I'm just defending myself from this onslaught. I think you're scaring people away from this site by being so aggressive
