just drove past the local pub. ambulance outside, stretchering a bloke out of the pub. reliable sources at the bar confirm that he's been drinking john smiths smoothflow extra cold. obviuosly there's no hope for some.

That's probably true, first time I met Tel was in a pub and thinking back it was his suggestion lol

Too many grumpy people here. I love xmas. I'd skip and jump round the living room now, if I didn't have a busted ankle. :)

so spooning your shoes on should not cause any problems.

yeah let's have no more bah humbug, it doesn't matter how old you are I am still very young at heart, i am looking forward to loads of old rubbish movies and reruns of morecambe & wise and all the other stuff i've seen a million times. It's a time for either just chilling out or spending time with family and socialising, you can finally forget about work for at least a few days.
Also there are a lot of people struggling to even afford xmas out there and I am guessing that because everyone on this forum is employed or self employed that we are all " probably " financially better off than a lot of folk out there so can we please cease with the moaning and get into a festive spirit!!!! :D:D

Really busted Spoon or sore and bruised like your 48 year old ego!?!

Torn and damaged ligaments A&E told me. It swelled up quite a bit. The kids nicknamed me 'Hop-a-long Bigfoot'

Well I can't get into it this year, too much work on so little in the way of holidays, some stupid lady driver on her phone piled into my parked van outside my house and wrote it off a few weeks ago, our lass isn't too good with poor health and has just come out of hospital after first one of three operations and its knocking her for 6, so in all honesty if I come across as a grump this xmas, well I think I have a few reasons to although Ill enjoy my xmas dinner with the family and a few beers too.

Anyone care to swap badluck with me?

Chin up everyone otherwise GMES will notice and give us a telling off. However busy you are and whatever your thoughts, try to check out the reason for this period - the Saviour of the world, God as humble man to save mankind from themselves. We are very good at messing ourselves up and for this reason God gave us redemption through His son Jesus at the cross of Calvary. Everyone needs to know the story so that their heart can decide and their life can be changed. Basic but powerful Faith.
Happy Pagan festival introduced by King Constantine in the 4th century so that pagans and Christians could both be happy. I told you that we were good at messing it up ourselves!
Thanks for a great learning year and all your support and friendship. Rob

I'm fine Rpa, just posting for reflection, I still got my faculties and can enjoy a beer with mates so until that stops all the other forms of badluck are just lifes inconveniences.
