One if my customers bought a batch of "Alfanar" accessories for a job I'm working on. I'm very underwhelmed. Has anyone else had the pleasure?
The thermoplastic fittings have minimalist shallow terminals. In the case of the sockets, too close together for comfort also, meaning a very precise ( no more than about 6-7mm due to the depth and risk to the side) must be stripped.
Last night beginning with sockets, my standard wiring 'pull test' took three attempts before I got the two cpc and the backbox earth to all grip in one socket. I tested and went home a little uneasy despite my best care and careful tightening. Overnight the RCD dropped, and this morning I found both a live and a cpc fallen out and touched.. ( being about 10mm apart).

I am strongly advising my customer that I wouldn't want them in my house, and that she should consider changing for another type.
