Cost supply and fit consumer unit etc

Hi,

I was wondering how much it would cost to supply and fit a 10 way consumer unit in the same place as existing, provide condition report, 2nd fix 12 double sockets, 2nd fix switch and flex for Immersion and 2nd fix a spur for electric underfloor heating.

Pipes are you an electrician or a customer! just going by this being your 1st post. If you are a spark then you need to try to come to a figure you think is worthwhile to you and affordable to your customer. once you disclose your price then you will find other members will be more inclined to help.

I'm the customer, I'm running all the cables, have a quote over a grand just thought it seemed a lot. Bearing in mind im buying all materials bar the dis board.

Get 2 more quote then.

Also why is the condition report after the CU change - surely this comes first, and then, only then do you have any idea of what else may need doing.

Sounds a bit high, although the condition report might well take a day if done properly. But without seeing it...

Your spark should also be giving you a EIC for the CCU he is going to fit and notification to building control The EICR is for the existing cables I.E the ones your installing as he is installing the CCU, he needs to do above and Inspect and test then cert and notify through his scheme or LABC as murdoch says EICR first then fit CCU then I&T , cert and notify

To answer your question in general:

1 day EICR
1 day Consumer fit & £100 consumer unit
1 day for the rest (assuming you've supplied sockets etc....)
1/2 day for paperwork

Sub-Total 3.5 days & £100 mats. In the S/East I charge £250 day so TOTAL = £1,000 for cash.

At £700 you've got a bargain ....... is he Part 'P' registered to do the work?
