You lot have never lived until you've banged in a crampet .

1/ drill hole and Rawlplug into the brick

2/ place pipe against the wall or floor (standard use is to hold galv. conduit onto the floor before pouring the screed)

3/ hit into place using a lump hammer and a bolster

4/ I use them for something entirely different - holding oval conduit to the wall, but a little adjustment is required first

I hit them in with an sds chisel bit with drill set on rotary stop, I can use the variable trigger to slow the hit down, Obviously I've already got the drill out anyway to drill the hole for the rawlplug. Works for me anyway. Ar has been stated, usually for conduit buried in chases in the wall to be plastered or dot and dabbed over after. Done this plenty on schools and hospitals.

Make some small peices of all round band up, enough to go around the conduit and back to allow a fixing hole at the side of the conduit

Much easier than messing about with crampets, and get the same effect( presumibly not using saddles because conduit will be enclosed)

many a bruised hand!
