Customer i do work for on a regular basis just sent me a picture of the fuse board in his sisters house, says he thinks its danerous and needs looking at. She is a 1st time buyer and didnt think to get an eicr.
Fuse board is in a cupboard where she is storing the families shoes and coats, nice and accessible.
Exposed busbar and not sure on that exposed stranded copper cable showing in gap beneath missing fuse, either tails or earthing conductor?
Suffice to say I almost choked on my weetabix.
Call out beckons I think.

I think possibly (no way of knowing) but the stranded copper I guess is from the fuse holder that is missing and has been disconnected and shoved to one side.

Does look like fuses have been getting warm though!

Exactly what i thought. Be interesting to see when i attend how much of that is heat verses grime etc from age. There is another small cu below that so not sure whats loaded on this board now. Eitherway its a death trap with young kids in house.

As above , in the domestics game you will come across 10 of these a month. Make it safe by sticking in an empty fuse wire carrier or super gluing a piece of mini trunking lid over the hole.
Offer to do a full eicr and price up remedial work accordingly.
Will probably end up a complete re-wire with new rcbo board.
