I have an issue every now and then at home.

Sometimes (at least once a month) some dog has decided to leave a pile of poo on the access way that separates the houses and garages.

I think more often than not, it is dogs that are let out to roam whilst there owners are out in their gardens etc, not inconsiderate owners deliberatley walking them past and not clearing up.

I am thinking of combining the following items.

1. cctv camera
2. video detection software to recognise lone animals
3. a plc with motion control
4. x y servo operated pan / tilt mount (fast acting, not from a cctv camera)
5. one of those fancy nozzles that can make a solid "slug" of water jump in the air.

if anyone knows of software that will interpret the video stream and output a position of an object in pixel number or x y cordinates then please let me know.

Letting dogs roam around?

They ARE inconsidorate owners.

All you need is the CCTV.... Find the dog, find the owner..... bag up the poo, post it through their letterbox.

If it was for me, i would buy one of these of Alibaba, re-config S/W to identify Dog and maybe change the ammo for water bombs

Most people won't have a letterbox big enough to post a dog through.

You gave the basic concept but I was looking for something less lethal, mainly because I don’t fancy being in Jail!!!
