I'm in the process of setting up a company and have applied to NAPIT so I can certify my work. NAPIT are requesting I have a separate cirtificate for the 17th edition. I completed my apprenticeship Between 2008-2012 with NG Bailey. My apprenticeship has been completely based on the 17th edition regs from start to finish and my gold card has 'I.E.E wiring regulations 17th edition' written on the back. I have never sat a separate 17th edition exam or recieved any cirtificate to say I am 17th edition trained. Do I need to sit this exam even though I have been trained to the 17th edition?

A lot of jobs I've seen asks for it, I would think for you a simple thing
Basically what you know and using the yellow regs book as check up or ref

It's stuff you already know but your gonna struggle without it employed or self employed.

A lot of employers ask for it and napit, niceic, elecsa all ask for it. So yes, u need it.
