Hi guys,
Is there a requirement to create a false ceiling for installing downlights in a bungalow kitchen ceiling? above there is the usual insulation stuff.

I thought of just clearing the insulation around the lights and make a little box with plaster board to cover the lights just for extra precaution. I will be using fire rated LED downlights!
Thanks for your advice!

You can get insulation-coverable downlights.

No, as per #2 use fittings that allow installing under insulation.
