Journeyman is an old term for a tradesman who is past the apprentice stage but has not achieved craft status, could well be a US term. No idea what a Dundee 2 is.

Someone will be along soon to help you out - they’re probably still eating tea.
In the meantime, brush up on your punctuation and spelling, it really does help the answering of the question.
All the best Apprentice.

Dundee 2?..... Dundee have never scored 2.

I worked in Dundee for a bit.... One piece of advice; always have two sparks on a job. One to do the work, the other to keep the van moving.
Sit parked for too long in Fintry and some bugger will have the wheels off.

Don't tell me there's electricity in Dundee now. Blimey, that's progress. They'll be wanting independence next......

what are you actually trying to say???? You realise your op doesn't make a huge amount of sense. How is 'dundee' relevant?

His first post makes sense if you understand what a "dundee wiring" schematic is. Obviously he has assumed it's a common slang phrase for a system, much like 3 plate wiring.

Unfortunately for the OP, I've never heard of it, an neither it seems has anyone else in this thread.

thats what they call it a dundee 2 way iam from fife scotland dundee is up the road its haha its a 2 way but a very difrent way of doing it

This name for it is probably only used in your particular area. Can you give some more details on the cir uit and then maybe we can work out what it is?
Is this wired in conduit or T&E, how many of what type of cables do you have at each switch.

There's only really two ways of wiring a two way, the standard method or the switch conversion, though there are many ways to physically connect them depending on each installation.

A standard 2 way has a live to the common of one switch, 2 straps between the switches and a switched live taken from the common of the other switch.

A switch conversion has a live to L1 and switched live from L2 at on eof the switches with 3 conductors linking the two switches (com to com, L1 to L1, L2 to L2)
