My uncle's struggling a little with his back at the minute, and therefore he's knocked Saturday's on the head for now, and that was my source of gaining experience (as well as a little pocket money :whatchutalkingabout)

So, it's time to post and see if my situation suits anyone. I work 8-4 Monday-Friday, and go to college Monday and Wednesday evenings, so it already closes the doors to so many opportunities because I can't see much work starting at 5pm on a Tuesday night (but if there was I'd be happy to come along), so it only really leaves weekends. I will eventually make the jump and start dropping hours at work to transition in to the trade, but the missus has 6 months maternity leave left so it's not going to be this year I don't think.

If anyone can offer me an opportunity to gain experience in the Durham/Newcastle area (and if there was a possibility of it leading to something more in the future that would be awesome) I'm an honest, hard grafting, and reliable lad. I'm currently studying the C&G 2365 L2, and will be sitting my 17th in the next few weeks. I've got my own transport and hand tools.

If you need a hand (and feel you could offer me some experience) on a weekend, please give me a shout. I'm always on here, so if you PM me I'll pick it up fairly quickly.

Cheers,

Hi mate, I don't often do weekends, but if anything comes up which I think would be of benefit to your learning then I will give you a shout. Shame, as I did have quite a nice job on around Christmas that was all out of office hours. Will keep you in mind HT.

Thanks for that GO, I was actually off for 2 weeks over Christmas and would have jumped at the chance. I was hoping to get out with my uncle but he shut down over Christmas. Shame, but thanks for keeping me in mind.
