Hi, looking to broaden my knowledge regarding earthing and protection. EA Technology have been mentioned as having decent courses in this area. I would like to hear from anyone who has been on training with them even if not in this field as often a standard will run through most training provided.

Also if you have been on a good course regarding earthing and protection then please let me know as I'm pretty much wiling to travel to most of the UK.

Thanks

If it's "earthing" as in principles for grounding, ground rods etc then Megger have a very good document available online. Search for their "Ground Loop Testers". Even their book about Insulation testing is worth a read.

"Protection" if you are talking about circuit protection (ANSI codes 50, 51, 87 etc) then I always found the Sepam relay manuals to have very good descriptions of each type. ABB RET, REF, REM or GE 469 manuals are full of information and pretty good description also.

All of those mentioned are free download.

More general info about everything, Siemens have 23 free basic training online plus more advanced that you need to pay for.
