Hi, I recently moved into an 1bhk flat in London, UK, and my supplier is Scottish Power(only electric). I have a "Multirate Single Phase Watt Hour Meter", with type as "5196D". There is a single display which three outputs, there are two outputs with a 1 and 2 towards the top left corner, then a third output which I believe is the total. My query is rate 2 remains constants, and does not change. Only rate 1 and the total are changing. I saw somewhere that these meters can also be used as a single rate meter. Can someone help me with what rating should I submit, is the total or rate 1. Also is there a problem with my meter. Any help is much appreciated

Are you on an Economy 7 or split tariff?
1 would be at one chargeable rate per kWh and 2 would be different.
If you were on a single tariff you should only have the total showing, it wouldn’t show you a breakdown
If it doesn’t change on 2 then you may have a meter that used to monitor a split tariff that has now been changed to a single.
This should all be itemised on your bill.
