Yes thanks, Pete, noticed no NICEIC only NAPIT the seminars for SPD@s and the Aico smoke detectors was informative got a new drill and 5Ah batteries got a CK Armourslice (I will see if they are worth the good reviews) and some new Dewalt flat wood drill bits we missed out on a hammer drill at the Makita stand they had none left was at a very good price (I had all the prices written down before I went) said hello to John Ward and the E5 group. Got some free samples for standing tray off the wall seems a good idea. then went up the road and had a pub meal and a pint of cider.
Yep, I looked for NICEIC as well which was surprising in itself. did you note those nice tool toted Orange ones, can't remember which stand it was Sorley tempted, but self preservation took over, you know what I mean.

i bought an armourslice a couple of years ago at elex. good tool, a bit slow, but be careful not to try it too tight as then it rags the armour.

I know we knock the schemes(more the operation of them) but at least the NICEIC and now more NAPIT are doing these free talks to all. I think that the NICEIC have made a decision to scale back their presence in these trade shows. Did not see those orange tools you mentioned had a good day out.

Watched Nagy vid ,and I thought he was taking the pee with 12 times round comment !
( Your wealth of knowledge proves otherwise )
more like 20 turns. what i like is you use it to score the steel armour and all strands are cut the same, no odd ones to be snipped, and then, while still in place, slacken off, move approx 20 mm -30mm (depends on cable size) up the SWA and cut the sheath.
