MEGGER?

Returned to start a recently priced kitchen and have found customers electrician has installed an extra DB beside the existing DB totally messing up design. The board has a 63A 30 ma protecting the kitchen ring and new cooker supply. The existing board only had 4 ways (TT with earth rod) and there has been an additional earth rod installed to the new DB with 16mm earth cable.I have never seen an installation with 2 earth rods ,does this contravene any regs? (Still and always learning):confused::confused::confused:

Has he got earth bonds to water/gas installed to his new met?
Maybe he was getting crap readings at your origional earth rod?Someone may have cut it off short when they bottomed out on stone.I don't think its illegal, though probably best if they were joined together,to keep them at the same potential.
