Hi people,

I've got to give a price to do a few works at a house, which includes fixing a lighting fault and was hoping to get some views of the problem beforehand.

The problem is with some low voltage downlighters, after about 10 mins, 2 of the lamps become really dull (always the same 2) while the others remain constant. Then after another few mins they return to full power?

I'm thinking there has to be a problem with the transformers.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
if the transformer is the problem why does it work ? the only way it can break is if it goes open circuit or breaks down between windings ,both of which are perminent situations ,i would check for a loose connection and that there not wired in series first ,also swap the transformer with the ones that work before condeming the poor thing ,
good luck
