Hi every one just though i would let people know that i have just got a full time permanent job which i am so happy about.

For the last four years since i stared college all i have done is work temporary for agency's which i really don't like but i got a call on Wednesday from a company that i had sent my cv to about 4 months ago saying that one of his guys who has been working for him for nearly 17 years has left to go self employed so he now has a opening to take some one on permanently and can i come in for a interview, went in for the interview on Friday and he said he will give me a week trial and if all goes well and i don't do any thing daft he will take me on full time and even pay me the rate set by jib (not sure what that is like) he also said that he will put me through for my driving licence as well as he now has a spare van sat in the yard and wants me to use it so it sounds awesome.

He does all aspects as well domestic, commercial, industrial and also security systems so its a wide range of work which should easily be enough for me to complete my nvq with, i am so happy this is exactly what i have wanted for over 4 years and i finally got it.
:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

This is your chance into proper employment. Good luck mate, happy for you. You have worked hard enough for it.

Thanks every one the week has gone really well so far, already done more stuff then i normally do, do a good bit of trunking and conduit in a print works, also put a sub main in which was really good, going to do some solar tomorrow which is great as it is part of my nvq and my assessor is coming out tomorrow aswel so will be great.

He is a great boss really knows his stuff too, he has said that he is really impressed with what i can already do and that there is no reason for the trial and he has now taken me on full time perminantly which i am so happy with :willy_nilly: (that smiley is suppose to be me running around with joy haha).

Thanks every one.

So the trial period isn't needed? Good man!
I'd love to do a solar install, it's one of the few things I've not done.

Yes he said he only wanted to do the trial to make sure i new what i am doing and was was not totally incompetent, he said he is really impressed with what i can do and my attention to detail and regs knowledge which is really good, so i have got some one now to learn from and i am really enjoying it.

Yeah i have always wanted to do a solar install to just to get the experience so it should be fun.

You must have really impressed him to hand you a full time job within the first week and scrap the trail! This is your reward for all the hard effort and time you have put into training. Well done Baker, you deserve a break. Think we are all chuffed for you :willy_nilly:

It is Friday so make sure you have a few tonight to celebrate :17:
