Some proper interesting results on the first day of the season.....


Saturday, 14 August Barclays Premier League

Aston Villa 3 West Ham 0

Blackburn 1 Everton 0

Bolton 0 Fulham 0

Chelsea 6 West Brom 0

Sunderland 2 Birmingham 2

Tottenham 0 Man City 0

Wigan 0 Blackpool 4

Wolverhampton 2 Stoke 1

From the read up of the Tottenham game we played pretty well it was down to to Joe Hart

must admit I got the typical Tottenham supporters sinking feeling before the kick off.

But was encouraged after the read up as for everyone else,

Blackpool will,be buzzing, do you like that, is it mint ,

The rest well .......
 
I thought Stoke were guaranteed 3 there too.

Blackpool are off to a flyer.

The main game is tomorrow though, we got Arsenal at home.

I think hernandez will be the suprise package of the season. pace, tricks, finishing he's got it. United's Top scorer this season I'm thinking...
 
Buzz is Schwarzer is going to the gunners.

I too think "La Chicarito" will do well at UTD, just needs to stick with the traditional ways of goal scoring rather then using his face.:rolleyes:

he did well last night, just needs a few games and get use to the premiership and should do well.
i loved the size compairsion of Hernandez to players of newcastle like Coloccini, Gutierrez and Carroll :D
 
Chelsea was pretty impressive even if they played against the new comer WBA. 6 goals though is not so easy, they have shown strong offensive playing.
 
Did anyone catch Fergies rant about the the mega rich "buying trophies"???

He was careful not to mention Man City but everyone knew he meant them.

Can't believe the bookies have us to go down
Certs for the drop are WBA and the GEORDIES with any 1 from West Ham, Wigan, B'ham, Sunderland or Blackpool.

Ok I agree Mick can be a bit of a Muppet at times but we've got a half decent squad who should of gained from last seasons experience. You don't like him from his Makem days ;)

I wish you well but really think your going to struggle, be suprised if you get anything of the Villa this weekend. Don't go shouting for Saint Shearer a few weeks into the season :D
