Floodlight vTAC wire to plug help

Hi I have bought a vTAC floodlight and need help wiring it to a 3 pin plug, I can't dismantle it and add wiring to it so I need to extend to the existing wire, could someone help what sort of flex wire I would need what cable connector and what sort of 3 pin plug amps? Thank you so much I would provide a picture but don't know where to add it

A Whiska box screwed to the wall next to the floodlight. Connect the incoming cable to the flex of the lamp with Wago connectors or similar. Ensure the connectors are suitable for use with flex. Use compression glands screwed into the Whiska box.

Ah right. Yes, there are suitable connectors for joining flex. Do you need to be able to disconnect it, ie a plug and socket, or just a joining connector?

Thank you so much how would I go by buying flex cable and 3 pin plug, I doubt I've done this right but have measured the overall white wiring and it says 0.70mm

Wilko will sell cable by the metre you need either 0.75 or 1.0 three core doesn't matter which. The also sell 13A flex connectors and a 13A plug with a 3A fuse.

I was told to use a 3a plug should I get 13a or 3 sorry, sounds like 0.75 is what I need I think

Sorry last thing regarding the 13a flex connector will that be okay? Or will it only draw 3a because the plug has a 3a fuse?

The current is limited by the 3A fuse it will be fine.

was the 0.7 you measured the diameter of the cable? The 0.75 as in "size of a cable" is in mm SQUARED... the cross sectional area of the conductors... not the width of the flex
