GCSE Maths help to prepare for HNC level

I am hoping to start my HNC in Electrical Engineering September 2015......as i will be spending this next year completing my NVQ3, AM2, City/Guilds 2394 and i am also enrolling on a 12 week PLC course.

My maths is not the best and i want to get my level up ready for the HNC........

Would GCSE level maths be a good place to start? (i do not have a GCSE in maths from school)

I would say GCSE Maths would be certainty. You really should have it anyway.
Speak to your college as soon as, they'll give you the best advice/what's required.

The maths level for an HNC can get quite complex so it would be best to prepare yourself as much as possible.
Starting with GCSE and then progressing onward, there may also be maths bridging or make up courses available from your college that can direct your learning to focus on the required information.

Cheers mate, i will get my GCSE then maybe do a bridge course before the HNC.

All depends on how fast you pick that sort of thing up.

If you feel you need it, it will be well worth it as I believe a HNC costs a lot more than it did when I did mine. lol

I its not cheap at the min....£2750 each year.....

I think when I did mine the company paid £900 for the two years of night school, with one day a week at the tech college.

Mind it was a few years ago.
