Anyone know what gland for is needed a MK 32A commando socket to hold a flex ??? Its got a thread for a gland (see pics) I expect its a stuffing gland if using flex but its an odd size.
Its for a commercial single phase oven 16Kw

You lot might be a preserve of knowledge but Charlie youre still boring, but nothing wrong with that mind I don't discriminate. And of course its not a 16KW oven, I mean ---- man that's a lot of cake
 
Had similar issue with brand new plug. I just put the black gland in a vice (gently) and turned anticlockwise. Took some heft, but it did eventually come loose. There should be 3 plastic jaws that grip the cable sheath that move in/out when rotating the gland. No tools necessary (less the vice😉), “should” be tool less install..ya think?
