I am being assessed in the next couple of weeks by NIC for part P is it right i need a H&S policy in place and if so is there a standard one that I can purchase

Hi Pete,

They may send you one with your pack.

To be honest, i dont think you need one as you will probably be a sole trader.
 
Peter, at my 1st niceic assessment I was told that although legally I did not require a H&S policy, the nic insisted on it.
This was put down as a non conformity, however the assessor also pointed out that I could download a H&S policy from the nic web site for free which I did.
Now I just show the assessor this every year and they are happy with this.

I've just looked & the H&E policy is still on the nic site, drop down the contractors tab & click on downloads, then useful downloads. There is also a notification of complaints form that you will need.
