So i cleared all the crap out of the van. Some old swa that i had taken out on a job, and a few other bits of 10mm T&E a few old 16 and 25 tails, half a dozen old wylex fuseboards. I only live 2 mins from local scrap place, and as i had to go that way i called in and weighed it all in, expecting about a tenner, came out with nearly 60 quid and a very big smile;)

Thats the weekend beer money taken care of:cool:

i did same with 15 kilos of old SWA got £55 quid not bad I know where i will be taking anymore i got they give £3.99 for stripped bright wire another scrappy bit further gives over £5 a kilo its like gold no wonder all the scroats are stripping and nicking everything

4 of us installed 4 x 1000KVA transformers. 28 x 500mm singles + 7 for an inter-connect between boards. The forman announced on the first day: “I don’t want to see any more than 1’ off cuts.
HeHe, he didn’t. We were on the razz for months afterwards!
