can any1 explain how to wire a 3poistion switch (hand off auto) to control 2 lighting circuits which also is controlled by a time clock and has a photocell?
Wire your power in series through your timeclock, then through the photocell and into L1 of a 3 position rocker switch. Also wire your permanent live into the L2 terminal. With the switch "down" it will be in "auto", with it in the middle it will be "off" and with it "up" the lights will be in "manual".
BTW
You might want to juggle the arrangement around if the two sets of lights are on different clocks/cells but the 3 position switch is key.
For instance, if the cell is allowed to operate them at any time of day then wire through the cell and into L1. That leaves your clock having some form of control over your manual setting, so wire this in series with the "manual" L2 wiring.
