Hi peeps, First time posting here
I've had a bit of a search for any previous answers but not found anything which surprises me.
I'm hoping the collective hive mind might prevail?
I have installed a handfull of Hikvision IP camera setups in the past and always had the same issue, overcome it with a tube of silicone and a grimace.
How do you pro installers deal with the transition of cable to junction box?
Obviously the cat5/6 had an OD of around 7mm, the Junction box comes with a 3/4" stuffing gland, which will never compress enough to seal around the cable.
Standard 20mm electrical conduit does not fit into the gland either. I am looking for a neat, professional looking solution.
I appreciate that the camera has a sealed connection, and is supplied with a weatherproof jacket for the RJ45 coupling which when wrapped with self amalgamation tape will not likely fail.
Any ideas, solutions and ridicule ? will be greatly appreciated!
